ACTIVE INTERFACES closing event
In the context of the energy transition, the ACTIVE INTERFACES research project – coordinated by the Laboratory of Architecture and Sustainable Technologies (LAST) – provided the opportunity to develop new strategies for the concrete consideration of building-integrated photovoltaic systems (BIPV) into urban renewal processes. Celebrating five years of fruitful interdisciplinary collaboration, a final meeting on June 4th brought together the project partners at Château d'Auvernier, one of whose buildings houses an integrated photovoltaic roof.
Realized with the support of the Swiss National Science Foundation (SNSF) in the framework of the National Research Program "Energy Turnaround" (NRP 70), the ACTIVE INTERFACES research project brought together ten research groups spread across Switzerland and involved about thirty architects, engineers, and scientists in five different sub-projects.
